Hi,

I’m Alina and I’m the person behind Amprente botanice. The name and the project are relatively new, I started experimenting with cyanotype during the lockdown and in 2022 I took the extra steps. I started by DIY-ing a wooden flower press, then I created the instagram page and since then I’m continuously growing my dried flowers collection. It’s something I enjoy doing since my childhood, growing up in the romanian country side meant that I was constantly surrounded by plants that I would pick and place in a book to dry. Finding that plant later was like finding a tiny treasure.

With that in mind, I recently moved from the big city to the mountain side, allowing me again to have an unlimited plants choice and to grow my collection.

At the moment, the small swiss pocket knife with Edelflowers has become the object I can’t leave the house without. You never know what beauties you come across in the daily activities.

In the future I want to play more with objects and the surfaces I print on and also to experiment with new media.
